1968 Pontiac Tempest

I purchased a 1968 Pontiac Tempest masquerading as a GTO when I was in high school. What started as a boyhood endeavor to be my first car, turned into a very lengthy project spanning nearly two decades. Shortly in to the restoration project, I realized it was not going to be practical to drive anytime soon. I pressed the pause button and bought a Volkswagen to get through high school and college. I recently dove back into this project with an intent to finish it and make this my daily driver. As of now, the engine is brand new (Chevy 350 small block), the transmission is freshly rebuilt, entire suspension has been replaced and modernized, all brakes were upgraded to disc brakes with a booster, the rear end was rebuilt and all new exhaust was installed. I still have quite a bit of work to do, mostly electrical, but I am hoping to drive it soon.

Warning, LOUD

The first start of the brand new Chevy small block engine we put into the Pontiac
The tail lights were all rotted, rather than replacing them and putting the same old dim bulbs back in I decided to retrofit them to LEDs. I took the bulb bases, removed the bulbs and used the bases as mounts for the LEDs. I then made a simple relay and constant current module circuit board to control it and brought the tail lights up to modern standards.
